Bing Maps improves street view

Search Engine Watch reports that Bing has made some changes to it’s Map street view tool.  Previously the street view used 360 degree panoramas called ‘bubbles.’  Bing has now flattened the bubbles into one long scrolling panorama.  There’s a “u-turn” button to flip the view to the other side of the street.

The stitching isn’t perfect (cars especially seem to get chopped in half), but it’s a lot easier to move up and down the street than it is with Google Maps.
